One thing you might not know is that the stress is different:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With compound nouns, we stress the FIRST word:<br \/>\n<em>a\u00a0<strong>swimming\u00a0<\/strong>pool<\/em><\/li>\n<li>With collocations, we stress the SECOND word:<br
