She\u2019ll do a great job \u2013 she\u2019s a real <strong>people person<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>crunch the numbers<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Crunching the numbers means to do a lot of calculations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cAfter <strong>crunching the numbers,<\/strong> our accounting department informed us that we don\u2019t have enough money to buy the new equipment.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>have a lot on your plate<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you <strong>have a lot on your plate<\/strong>, it means you have a lot of work and responsibilities at the moment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cSorry I didn\u2019t call you back sooner; I <strong>have a lot on my plate<\/strong> right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>selling like hotcakes<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If a product is <strong>selling like hotcakes, <\/strong>it means \u00a0a lot of customers are buying it very fast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cThe new product is <strong>selling like hotcakes.<\/strong> We\u2019ll need to produce more to keep up with the demand!\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>think outside the box<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To <strong>think outside the box <\/strong>means to think in a creative way that is different from usual.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cWe need to come up with a really good advertising campaign. Let\u2019s try to <strong>think outside the box<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>win-win situation<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A <strong>win-win situation <\/strong>is a cooperative agreement that is good for both people or companies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cThis partnership will bring increased publicity to their company and new customers to ours. <strong>It\u2019s a win-win situation<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>test the waters<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you <strong>test the waters, <\/strong>you try something new to see if it will be successful or not.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cWe\u2019re <strong>testing the waters<\/strong> to see if changing the product\u2019s packaging will increase sales.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>bang for the buck<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If something provides more <strong>bang for the buck, <\/strong>it means it has more value for the money spent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cI think we should use online ads instead of TV commercials.
