The active form places a bit more emphasis on YOU encountering and confronting the problems, and having to take an active role in dealing with them, and the passive form puts a bit more emphasis on the problems, as if the problems came to you and found you.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s a difficulty or challenge you\u2019ve faced?
