Where <strong>are they having<\/strong> the wedding?\u201d <em>(future &#8211; by context)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cThey\u2019re not sure &#8211;<strong> they\u2019re<\/strong> still<strong> thinking<\/strong> about it. <em>(current &#8211; indicated by \u201cstill\u201d)<\/em> On Sunday <strong>they\u2019re checking out<\/strong> <em>(future &#8211; indicated by \u201con Sunday\u201d)<\/em> a church that might be a possibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cSounds great! Hey, I\u2019ve gotta run &#8211;<strong> I\u2019m picking up<\/strong> my son from soccer practice in 20 minutes.\u201d <em>(future &#8211; indicated by \u201cin 20 minutes\u201d)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cOh, <strong>is he playing<\/strong> on the high school team?\u201d <em>(current &#8211; by context)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cYes, and <strong>he\u2019s hoping<\/strong> to get an athletic scholarship to college.\u201d <em>(current &#8211; by context)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cGood for him. Well, <strong>I\u2019m volunteering<\/strong> at the school fundraiser tonight, <em>(future &#8211; indicated by \u201ctonight\u201d)<\/em> so I might see you there later.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now that you know how to use the present continuous for future arrangements, make some sentences talking about your own plans!
